Churakka sarkkara halwa / Bottle gourd jaggery sweet
Keralacuisines gladly presents the method of preparing churakka halwa for you all.

INGREDIENTS:
1. Churakka (Bottle Gourd) grated – 500gms
2. Thick coconut milk – 2cups
3. Jaggery – 500gms
4. Cardamom – 1tsp
5. Ghee – 2tbsp
6. Broken Cashews – 1tbsp
7. Raisins – 1tbsp
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Step 1 : Take half of the grated Churakka (Bottle Gourd) and paste it using a blunder .
Step 2 : Take the grated and pasted churakka in a thick bottomed vessel.
Step 2 : Add coconut milk to it and boil until churakka is cooked properly.
Step 3 : Reduce the flame and keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
Step 4 : Add the jaggery and keep stirring until all the water is absorbed and the mixture starts leaving the sides of the vessel.
Step 5 : Add ghee and cardamom powder to the mixture and mix well.
Step 6 : Add cashews and raisins before removing from the flame.
Step 7 : Pour immediately into a previously greased(with ghee) tray.
Step 8 : After cooling cut it into your desired shapes.
